Please Stand By...

Ughhhhhhh..... I taught in Como early this morning, came back BY train, metro and bus, then hit the kitchen with a vengeance. Tomorrow's our Thanksgiving, and tonight's 2 parties (yeah, poor us, right?) so I had these 4 hours to make the pumpkin pie with 3 gingers, the sausage-porcini stuffing and the new, New York Times no-knead bread recipe (look it up yourself, I'm too tired to link it.) Boy am I pooped.

Meanwhile Gabriel, the computer genius has uprooted my aged Windows '98 (yeah, as in the 20th century) and replaced it with Firefox but anything on Word, like the recipe for you to make candied clementine peel to top the pumpkin pie with, is as of yet unreachable. Sorry folks. Maybe tomorrow. MAYBE. I'm going to take a 15 minute power nap, then head out for the night. Wish me luck.

Checkout the blog I recently started:

although I don't know how to make it searchable. I can find yours a number of diffrentb ways through google, but mine doesn't come up. Any idea why? What's the use if nobody can find it.

Hope all is well in Italy. I made it as far as updating my passport, but Paul and Simona still need to do theirs. Hopefully over the break we can make it a point to get it done. Please send me your new email address (last time I tried to send it didn't work)and your phone number too. We need to catch up.

Here's to a great Italian Thanksgiving--I know it will be wonderful.

I did it. I replaced IE 6.1 with Firefox so that Susan could browse websites including Macromedia Flash content. Then I decided to update the rest of the software, including MS Office. On installing MS Office Software Patch 3, I got asked for the original CDs which were lost long ago if they ever existed at all. Installation had to be cancelled which left MS Office in a non-functional state. Desperately looking now for English version of MS Office 2000. Anyone? Gabriel

Hi Beenzzz, Thanks! I'll get the recipe right to you.

Hey Ange!! Wow! Long time no chat. I'll e-mail you with advice on how to appear on a Google search. And maybe do a little convincing on why you all should head over here soon!

Hi Mom! Did Aunt Margie have a good birthday party? I wanted to change the clementine recipe.

Hi Oregon, Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Gabriel, You did more than I could ever think of doing to fix the computer! After all, I thought you had remover Windows '98 :-O Thanks honey!

Hi Melissa, Maybe it's because I'm still on the old (non beta) Blogger?
